LONG BEACH
The long, fine sandy beach directly in front of the Long Beach Villas Resort invites to long beach days. Ideal for children (and parents): The beach slopes very shallowly, so that you can walk far into the shallow water and splash around extensively. The water quality has the "Blue Flag" seal of approval.
If you like, you can rent a beach chair or spend the day on the beach in one of the numerous beach bars with Greek salad and frappé.

Makrigialos is a tranquil seaside and fishing village. The name translates as "Long Beach" and delivers what it promises: the place is known for its long, fine sandy beaches as one of the most beautiful bathing, restaurant and vacation resorts in Crete.

The easiest way to get to Makrigialos from Heraklion Airport is by rental car. The driving time is about 1.5 hours.
